Blood And Roses is to Kill Another Day what Robert Rodriguez’s El Mariachi, is to Desperado: a micro-budget first sketch for a later, more developed painting with the same characters and basic plot.

Status
Blood And Roses served two functions. First, it gave first-time feature film director Schneider the real-world experience he needed to direct Kill Another Day. Second, it gave him the opportunity to discover what worked and didn’t work in terms of plot, pacing, and characters, improvements he then incorporated into Kill Another Day.
